unrug

unrug is a rug design atelier that integrates research-creation, human-centered design, and ontological principles into our creative process.


we contribute to the appreciation of craftsmanship and gain ethnographic value by collaborating with various regional cooperatives, learning how techniques like knotting, the application of natural dyes, and washing practices reflect specific cultural and geological contexts. we respect and promote the expertise of our weavers through a collaborative co-design process.


each piece is designed in Mexico City and handcrafted by artisans in Morocco.
